It was great to see the city all decorated and ready for celebrations to come. I always like to have great plans for NYE and this year did not disappoint. I was really excited to be in Kyiv with friends to celebrate the coming year.
There were twelve of us…five Americans, three Belarusians, two Ukrainians and a guy from Belgium. And we had a wonderful time. There was food and games. There were shots and drinks. We laughed and laughed.
Our hostel was a half of a block from the center of Kyiv, so we left at 1130 and headed for the city center. It was fabulous. Absolutely surrounded by people. Even had a guy in front of me from Washington States who was visiting Kyiv and turned around and introduced himself. Nothing ever surprises me anymore.
Ah, the fireworks….I always love the fireworks.
New friends…many nationalities…good times… A NYE for the record books.
And yes, for those who are curious, Santa did bring me a man for Christmas (last year) and he has stuck around for a year now, but my kiss at midnight will wait for another night, because my man with his kiss is back in Lugansk for a work party.
Thanks to Noelia and Sara for adding me to their NYE plans. I had a great time! Hugs and Loves!
