New Discoveries In Kyiv

Noelia, Sara and I had a day to kill in Kyiv before the New Year’s Eve festivities.  We had heard about a KTC that opened in Kyiv at a new mall.  A place called Ocean Plaza.  It was incredible.  KFC was packed, really packed, so we skipped it.  But had dinner at a place that was just like Olive Garden, we shopped, and we had wine in a fabulous wine bar.

First, we had a sunset walk down Kreschadik Blvd in the center of Kyiv.  Our hostel was right in the center and the perfect location for New Year’s Eve.

The Ocean Plaza….so amazing!

Sara and her incredible winter coat…and this crazy fountain inside the mall.

A westernized mall during the holidays.  I just wanted to sit on a bench and watch the world go by.  It was wonderful.

Sara picked the wine and had a wonderful drooling over the wine menu.  Oh, how we all are excited for a life outside our Peace Corps budget.

And we rounded out the night and early morning with food and drinks at a place called Doctor’s Bar.  And way too many test tube shots of vodka.  Oh, yickes.

Such a fabulous day!
