Some interesting information...

We had an interesting meeting yesterday. Site placement interviews are being held in the next few days, so there was a bit of information shared with the Community Development trainees regarding site assignment statistics.

There are 28 trainees and 45 sites have been secured, which means that the Peace Corps will be better able to match trainees/volunteers with site assignments. It was great to hear that some of a trainee’s desires for site will be taken into consideration.

We cannot really expect much regarding are preferences, but we can certainly mention any preferences during our site placement interview. Giving the Peace Corps more information than less in this stage of the process certainly cannot hurt. Your site placement interview is your only opportunity to directly share your skills and have a conversation with the lead specialist who is responsible for site assignments.

So, who is curious about my desires list and my preferred assignment focus? I actually wrote some down.
