The cluster in Ivanivka had a community picnic as their community development project during training, so a few of us hopped a bus from Chernihiv. We all had a great time. There was a ton of laughs and food with a great mix of Peace Corps and the community of Ivanivka.
Ah, tug-of-war and a three-legged race. Sometimes there is just nothing better on a sunny afternoon.
Three Peace Corps trainees from Ivanivka and their host sisters in a bit of a friendly competition.
Casey and Adam, two Peace Corps trainees, barely winning their race and laughing the entire way. Such fun!!!
These two little girls were adorable. I love the matching dresses.
Jesse, another trainee, played a few songs. Michelle, filling water balloons, and so creatively. And Sara, my cluster mate enjoying a bit of water balloon toss.
This was the biggest dutch oven I had ever seen. Adam’s host mom cooked porridge for us. It was amazing. My host mom makes is quite a bit, but picnic style was awesome.
Thanks for the good times Ivanivka Cluster. We all had a blast!!!
