A Date & Some Music

The night started with a group of PCV's having pizza together. We had all had a busy day at the Peace Corps office and were looking forward to some food and conversation.



And then is was time for some quality time with my man.

Admittedly, I was not all that excited about going to a concert in an old church.  I had so many grant proposals to review for my meeting in the morning, but Yuri stumbled across an old Roman Catholic church in Kyiv yesterday and wanted to attend a chamber music concert tonight. I was trying to appreciate the sweetness of the thought of an evening out that was his doing, but failing miserably.

Until we sat down in this wonderful old church. The concert became more organ than chamber and was really lovely. Sometimes I have to appreciate the little things more and tonight was no exception. It was a truly memorable evening.
