In the morning, Andy and Daniel dropped Yuri and I in the city center for a couple of hours of wandering. I remembering being frustrated with Yuri because he kept borrowing and filling my memory card because he kept forgetting to unload his…and then I didn’t have room to take pictures with my camera. As I write this blog and post these pictures I am almost sad that we let something so minor have such a effect on our morning, and I learned a lot about traveling with Yuri in the future…take lots of large capacity memory cards.
Ah, Kilkeeny, you are a captivating city with so much beauty and history. I am already looking forward to my next visit.
Here is the back side of Kilkenny Castle along the river. It made for a beautiful scene from the bridge.
It was great to spend a few hours wandering the city, even with the light rain that seemed to continue.
Kilkenny Castle and Park was incredible. It was misty rainy, so out came the umbrella, which then brought out the kid in Yuri and I. I loved all the green and the slow slide that fall was making. It was a truly breathtaking sight.
Who gave that guy a knife and an electric one at that? A first for Yuri, the electric knife…and he wanted to take one home…
Sunday dinner….I want to go back every Sunday. This was simply delightful.
Hugs and Loves, Daniel…thanks for all the laughs and fun. We miss you!
Photo courtesy of Daniel, who was wonderful. I wanted to take that kid home with me in my pocket.
As quickly as we arrived to Kilkenny, it was time to head back to Dublin for a few days. We had one beautiful day in Kilkenny and one of rain…now we are hoping for some lovely days in Dublin, but it is October.
