Killing Time In Budapest…

It is a hard day when you have to kill six hours in Budapest between trains.  Such an activity comes highly recommended.

This sleepy little resort village a couple of hours south of Budapest was a great place to spend a couple of days.

Many thanks to Svarvas and Gaby’s family to the wonderful welcome and kindness….

And then there is that random moment, when you run into another group of people from the wedding event you attended the previous evening.  At the transfer station in an obscure village in Hungary…

My travel buddy for the week, Christina.  We had a fabulous time together.  My life will seem so dull with out her around every day.  We had a great time just being girlie and having a constant partner in crime.

Budapest is lovely….

The opera house.  Given a bit more time this would have been a fun place to explore a bit.  I didn’t get a chance to look inside, but it is definitely on the list during the next visit.

Ah, flat sidewalk, how I have missed thee….

My second visit to Hooters, ever.  First was in Honolulu a long time ago.  But it seemed like a great place to get some great American food….and WINGS….

Next time, I am going for the BBQ ones.  The least spicy on the menu was way to hot for me.

Eddie, Chris, Christina, Szabi (a Hungarian/American) we met at the wedding, and Ben…a great lunch and way to kill a few hours…

We played a lot of cards and had a blast…  It was such a great way to kill many hours of train time.

And then suddenly I was alone on a train at 4AM headed for Kyiv and Lugansk on my first of two 16 hour train rides.  That is correct people, it took me 32 hours of train travel to get across Ukraine…..WOW!!!
