No...No… Not mine! But a close friend of mine is moving from Svatovo, about three hours from me, to Staribilsk, about two hours away this weekend. We have been spending the weekend packing and cleaning, with an afternoon break at the lake. Forgot my camera for the lake trip…oops! But here are some moving pics. The adventure took two trips in Yuri’s car. Luckily the two cities are only about 45 minutes apart from each other.
Here is the view old of Sara’s kitchen window in Svatovo, the old home. Look at those gardens…incredible. Last time I was here it snowed and that was the end of March. I love how quickly everything grows as soon as the freezing weather disappears.
We certainly put Yuri’s car through a workout. This is the first of two loads.
And finally, everything is in the new place. It is incredible how much ‘stuff’ we accumulate while we are here. Makes me a bit nervous to move out of my apartment in a couple of years. Yickes!
And here is the view from the new place. Now Sara is on the fifth floor and looks out over trees. It is quite lovely and she has some great light in the new place.
Oh, I love the outdoor sitting area. Every apartment building has something like this. And usually it is much more rudimentary. I could not resist this picture. One evening a month ago or so, a couple of girlfriends and I sat outside in Yuri’s yard, drinking foofoo drinks and playing cards. It was bliss and since we all live in apartments, we all appreciate the outdoor seating.
