This weekend had me doing one more PDM training for Peace Corps Volunteers and their counterparts. And I had Yuri along for this excursion. Kharkiv is a wonderful old city of about 2 million residents. I had never been, so it was a great opportunity to check out a new city.
I love this statue. And thank goodness for Yuri’s fabulous camera that means I can crop it and still have a great pic. She was at the very top of a building overlooking a major street in Kharkiv.
Edward is from my PC group, but I had not seen him since swearing in almost a year before, so it was great. And I always love my time with Olga and introducing her to my friends and fellow PCV’s. The poor girl had no idea what she was getting into when she came to work at LCPO and became my translator. But I am now lucky to call her my friend and co-facilitator for everything that we teach. Thanks for all the good times, chickadee.
Ahh, me and boys. Amazingly there are no photos of me with Yuri, oh well, there are some of me with some fellow PCV’s. Nathan and Edward are awesome and it was so great to see them, and catch up a bit.
