Today we had the opportunity to wander through more of the city. Of course, there was a visit to the train station. It was fun to see the continued preparations for Euro2012 well underway.
Yep, Kharkiv is one of the four cities in Ukraine hosting games for the Euro2012 event.
And here is Freedom Square. It is one of the largest Freedom Squares in Europe and looks so HUGE! All cobblestone and old world. And of course, there is a large statue of Lenin.
Kharkiv has this great tram over Gorky Park in the center of the city. It was so fun! Possible risked my life in unknown ways, but it was still great fun! Yuri tired to scare me to death, which is not hard from such heights…and this made for a highly entertaining twenty minute ride.
Hi peeps….it was great fun to play with the Camp ABC leaders for a bit.
I loved the old world charm of the city. I am more so looking forward to exploring the city a bit more in the future.

I enjoyed reading both of your posts about Kharkov! You rode the Gorky Park tram just in time- it's been shut down for the moment while they do a huge remodel... including a new roller coaster, hooray :)
Drop me a line if you ever come through Kharkov again and want to go sightseeing! Katherine
