We cooked dinner for our host mom’s…

So, let me just tell all of you how good I have had it for the last three months.  My host mom is amazing and a mom first and foremost.  I have been spoiled and well taken care of.  My host mom, Tanya, is a fabulous cook.  She makes me breakfast and dinner everyday.  I used to try and do the dishes and have found that it is just easier to do them before she comes home from work.  She works three or four days a week and loves coming home to clean kitchen.  Tanya also does all my laundry.  She has a washing machine, as most people do here, especially in larger cities, and then my clothes get hung to dry.  I can’t even begin to tell all of you how much I will miss her after I leave on Monday.

As a Thank You to our mom’s, my cluster and I got together and cooked dinner.  My responsibility was Baked Chicken.  I was excited to this because I love Baked Chicken and am looking forward to making it more often in my new home.  And it can out really well.  I brined it in water and salt for a few hours.  Then I seasoned it.  I found a packet of seasoning the grocery store for chicken.  It was awesome and worked like a charm.

And my chicken after…I even made gravy.  See, all those years of cooking with the family are paying off…

We all had a great time tonight and our mom’s are awesome.
