The Peace Corps wants to make sure we are well prepared for anything that may cross our paths in the next two years so we spend hours in training. But today is the day we meet are counterparts and find out more about the organization we have be assigned to work with for the next two years.
Chillin’ in the plaza between activities and events is a very common place to find volunteers. And here is Morgan. Morgan was my roommate in DC before this adventure really got started. She is awesome and we are always happy to catch up.
We are bit spread out across Ukraine now, but between the internet and cell phones you would think we saw each other regularly.
Yup, this is a group of Peace Corps volunteers drinking beer. A sight that can be found throughout the world and in UKRAINE. Group 41 is an awesome group!!! Two of my favorite boys between activities. Pete and Patrick, you two are awesome!
Grabbing some last minute sun before more training classes.
My counterpart/translator/interpreter, Jenya. This girl is amazing and speaks flawless English. I will enjoy establishing a great working relationship and friendship with her over the coming two years. She is a wealth of information and loves to share about her country.
Thanks Jenya for being so incredible and making this all so easy for me.
