Ukraine was once the breadbasket of the Soviet Union. All the grains that feed the Soviet Union were grown and harvested in the then Soviet Republic of Ukraine. As Masha, Dave and I wandered through countryside outside of Ivanivka yesterday, Masha shared some history with us. It is incredible! I cannot even express the wonder and awe I feel in walking and enjoying such an amazing area that is so rich in culture and history. Ukraine astounds me in its never ending beauty and grace.
