Finally, I can tell the world…

I gave my 30 day notice at work today. My last day is March 10, 2011. And this means that I have a huge weight finally lifted off my shoulders. It is so nice to be able to share with the staff and 300 volunteers we have here at the museum. Wahoo!!!

And I love reaction I get from people when I tell them what I am up to. Most people leave a job to move to another company, which is exactly what everyone expects here, but alias, I have gone and joined the Peace Corps. It is awesome to be able to share with EVERYONE in my life and not just those in my personal life.

My daily stress level is still fairly high, but with 39 days to go, ready or not here we go.

Side Note:
I went to the dentist yesterday. My Peace Corps dental clearance is valid for one year and my year is up on March 18th, four days before I depart of the Ukraine, so I have to update my file with new paperwork. And I have a cavity. Seriously, one cavity. So, I am headed back to the dentist on the 16th of Feb and will hopefully be able to get my updated paperwork in the mail the same day.

So crazy, but oh well! Just one more thing to add to the things to do list.
