Grandma Dorothy is not really my grandma, she is my cousin’s grandma; however, I grew up several miles from her and all my life she was Grandma Dorothy. She passed away on October 6th at the age of 101. The entire family was lucky enough to all be together for Grandma’s 100th birthday in March of 2009. And many of us gathered again last night at the Coos Art Museum in her memory. It was wonderful to see so many family and friends, and take the time to catch up with people, more importantly it was more of a time of celebration. Grandma Dorothy was a fabulous lady and we all have such great memories of her. The evening became a night of stories. So fun!!
Grandma was very talented interior designer and watercolor artist. This is one of my favorite pictures of her. I will always remember her painting in her backyard on a bright sunny day and always with a smile on her face.
