A first of lasts

I love to go crabbing and I made my last trip for a few years today.  There is something about putting out the pots with my dad and a few family members, waiting 30 minutes, and pulling pots to see what they behold.  Most crabbing excursions are an adventure in one form or another.  There was the time we forgot to put the plugs in and there was the time the battery was dead, yesterday was no different.  The pots went in at about 930A and we went back home for a couple of hours.  We headed back out at 12N after the tide had turned to retrieve the  pots and collect our bounty.  And there was only one pot where we put them.  We were missing four pots.  They had virtually disappeared.  As we looked up the bar we found one and as we slowly made our way up the bar we found another one.  We now had three of the five pots we originally set.  So, home we came with minus two pots and with only three crab.  Huh!!  Always an adventure.
