So much work, but way too much fun…

Today was Ryan and Cade’s Fifth Birthday Party.  My sister, Laura and I have been working on the planning and preparation everyday for the past five days.  Every moment and focus has been in regards to 18 kids having the opportunity to become Mad Scientists for an afternoon.  It was amazing!!!

We had experiments for the beginning and the end with three stations in between.  We split the kids into three groups and had them rotate between the stations.  The stations were spilt into Misc, Dry Ice, and Egg.  Each station had two adults manning and went through three experiments.  It was incredible!!

We had bleached lab coats, aka. men’s dress shirt with small plastic sunglasses as protective goggles.  All the kids had a wonderful time and even the adults wanted to redo some of the experiments for a greater effect.  It would be hard to pick just one or two of the greatest experiments, they were all so interesting with plenty of oohs and aahs.  Thanks so much to Steve Spangler and crew for their flexibility in allowing me to pick up many last minute orders at their warehouse.  We would not have been as successful without so much input and information from www.stevespanglescience.com .  Check him out!!
