I love where I work. Unfortunately in the non-profit world the pay is rarely equal to the education, time spent or even the same position in a for-profit organization. I wish I could stay here longer than my budget will afford me.
Everyday around here brings a learning opportunity and lots of laughs. I enjoy the combining of all of my classes and pockets of learning into a fabulous example of a high functioning business environment. No business is perfect, but this one actually functions fairly well. The 7AM Evergreen Holding Company meeting on Mondays gives everyone on the management an opportunity to see what all the other units in the organization are up to. The 2P Museum management meeting has been amazing. I am sure a two hour meeting on a Friday afternoon is not so fun after a while, but right now I am like a kid…I just take it all in. And I love every minute.
I will not work here long term, but while I am here I am gaining immeasurable experience and helping a great team.
