In the past I haven’t had the space to host family, so I invited Dad and Beth up to Portland for Father’s Day Weekend. Quickly the weekend became crazy busy with school commitments, and Dad and Beth getting the flu. We did however squeeze in a visit to the Tigard Balloon Festival. I had never been and was looking forward to going.
I dragged Dad and Beth out the door on Father’s Day at 530A for a 545A scheduled lift off at the Festival Field in Cook Park about ½ a mile from my house. It was fabulous. I took a ton of pictures.
Dad and Beth then managed to get the flu and spent all day Monday in bed. I had taken the day off to play, but was happy with the sudden free day. I watched over the parents and worked around the house. I even got some quality homework done.
