I am still finding creative ways to spend my time off. The latest is a random trip to Eugene I took last night. I emailed my sister-in-law, Patty a couple of days ago and offered to stay with Sazon (my almost two-year old nephew) so she and my brother could have a date. I drove down yesterday afternoon and came home today. I was gone a whole 26 hours from my house.
After a little warm up yesterday evening Sazon and I became great friends, especially after his mom and dad left. His long day turned to tiredness and we cuddled for a while before bed. I loved it. Brent and Patty headed out for a ride with friends on Brent’s recently finished chopper. They went up the McKenzie River for dinner at Ike’s and after returning to Springfield went out with old friends.
We all had a lazy morning today with my brother bringing back coffee after an early fishing trip. Sazon and I played for much of the morning. He is a cutie. I loved spending time with him. As you can tell he had a great time with a pile of clothes in his room. I think this are the clothes waiting to be rotated into his dresser. He was happily chatting and telling all about each piece, of course I couldn't understand a word, but he sure was having a fabulous time.
By 11A we were off to get some family photo shots at the park. So fun! Thankfully I only had three rolls of film to run through, we were losing Sazon slowly as nap time approached. I will post some pictures once they are processed. Sazon and Brent went done for a nap, and Patty and I headed to the Japanese grocery and the Duck Store at Autzen. I was on the road and headed north by 2:15P.
It was a great beginning to what will continue to be a busy weekend.
