New Years has come and gone. My holiday party has also come and gone. So, now I must face the idea that I do not have a job and I have no long term travel plans. The play time is over.
New Years was great fun and ranks up there as one of my best. I went to Winter Park with my sister Laura and her family. We were joined by several other families and in the end had eleven adults and five kids. After a steak dinner at the condo we were all staying in, all the adults headed to a local pub for a few hours of New Years fun and entertainment. The fireworks started at 9P on the way to the pub and from there the evening included lots of great friends and the time seemed to fly by.
I arrived home from Colorado a week ago today.
Amazingly, Laura and I were shocked at how quickly the three weeks flew by. She and I completed many home projects, put a holiday party, attended seemingly endless holiday parties and all in all, had a great few weeks. My holiday party was this past Saturday. After three days of errands and cleaning, my dad and stepmom arrived for a long weekend. It is great to have a large enough place that they can stay and be very comfortable. They even brought their new puppy, Maddy. She was fabulous and highly entertaining.
By Sunday, Dad and Beth were helping me take down all the Christmas décor and organizing my garage. The three of us went clam digging in Gearhart on Sunday afternoon. Not such a good idea. It was stormy and cold, but we had fun.
Dad and Beth headed back to Coos Bay yesterday. And I was faced with the reality of job hunting.
