Merry Christmas!!

It is Christmas…and for those of you who don’t already know, it is my favorite holiday aside from my birthday. This Christmas is especially unique in that I am spending three weeks in Colorado. I realized several nights ago that I haven’t been here for Christmas since 2003. Last night was Johnson Family Christmas with my brother-in-laws family. And today was just us (Laura, Jack, Sadie, Ryan and myself). We did breakfast and presents and naps and now we are playing cards after a spaghetti dinner with some friends. It has been a very relaxing and absolutely the best way to spend Christmas Day. I seem to be less about the food and ciaos, and more about the family and friends.

Laura and I have completed a few projects already. She always holds projects for me, so I have plenty to do when I am visiting. So far we have painted and reorganized the den. We choose fabric and I made drapes for the dining room. I am amazed I have been here a week already. And really we just seem to do a lot of cleaning and cooking. My sister, Laura is also unemployed, so we have enjoyed lots of time together and chasing her three year old, Ryan around.

I left Portland on the 17th of December so I have missed much of the big snow falls as of late. I understand my house is faring well with a few branches down in the backyard. I owe a big thank you to Sarah for keeping track of my home and Jezebel. Amazingly, there is no snow in Denver. Today it was sunny and 45 degrees. Portland and Denver are both getting some crazy weather. I am looking forward to more holiday parties over the coming weekend and New Years in Winter Park with friends and family. Maybe I will finally get to play in the snow and do some sledding.

Merry Christmas To All!
