I had never even heard of such a thing until last Monday, when this lovely nerve decided to talk to me. And at first introduction, this lovely nerve was screaming at me. Nope, I have no idea what I did. Every morning I sit and check my email, before coffee or jeans or breakfast. Last Monday I sat as I always do and checked my email, when I went to stand up I couldn’t stand up straight or walk. The pain was excruciating. I tried to just get through the day and after four hours in the unemployment agency I was still in a tremendous amount of pain. I had an appointment with Melissa, my trainer, at 4P and was ready for her to do her magic. And that is exactly what she did. By Tuesday I was already 50% better. Mornings are the hardest when my muscles are not warm. I was grounded to the couch for the week, no chairs allowed. And really I couldn’t move much further than the couch anyway. So, I wrote a paper for ten hours on Tuesday…wireless internet and wireless printer are extremely helpful when I can’t get off the couch. Wednesday I was looking for something to do and finally realized that I could continue working on the Munich Family Cookbook. I started All The Secrets over five years ago. My Grandma’s recipes a worth their weight in gold in my family, so I thought a cookbook was a great answer for all of us. I have been putting the recipes into a Blurb cookbook format. And now I have the time to continue the project.
Today, my nerve is fabulous. Five days of rest and two appointments with Melissa, and I am feeling fabulous. So good in fact, that I finally finished painting the laundry room and powder bath yesterday. I am finally feeling human again.
