Well, the first part of the day was the training and quickly I was trying to get home to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my valentine.
I arrived into Lysychansk this morning and it was foggy and a bit snowy. I couldn’t resist taking a few photos. It looks so peaceful and wintery.
This is Courtney. She is a Peace Corps Volunteer who lives in Lysychansk, and offered up her apartment and breakfast for some downtime after my early AM bus ride and before the training. And I was thrilled to find that she has an adorable kitty.
This is such a great group of city officials to teach and work with. They are always so fun and eager for the learning of new skills. I love it!
I will pretty much turn any room into a learning environment. No screen and the painting removed…and suddenly I have a blank wall for projection.
Yuri is not big into Valentine’s Day, but he is great about feeding my needs. So balloons and girlie gifts soon invaded mu apartment. I am not sure how I got so lucky, but some days I feel so blessed to have found such a great guy. Oh, there are days that are not so fun, but sometimes he just gets it. Thanks honey, I love you!
