Yuri has been in England and Scotland on vacation for past three weeks, and I am thrilled to have him back home. He drove the car to Kyiv and left it there while he was gone instead of taking the train. It is about a ten hour drive.
He asked if I would go up with him to Kyiv when he left, but I couldn’t, so we compromised and I met him and his mom at the Kyiv Train Station when they came home. They arrived last night on a 23 hour train from Berlin. Then we got in the car and headed east. The drive took about 12 hours, which Yuri blames on me, because I was distracting with all the conversation…LOL! We even played a version of the ABC game to stay awake. We (he) drove all night. We arrived into Lugansk at noon today.
Here are a couple of pictures of Kharkiv at 7A. I loved the light and quiet of the morning as we watched the city slowly wake up.
