I am completely in love with random nights of fun. Sara and Dara are headed to Donetsk tomorrow for Camp MAKE training and needed a place to stay tonight, so my Friday night quickly became a random night of fun! We started by meeting at the grocery store..there were samples, like Costco, but very uncommon in Ukraine, especially if you live in villages like Sara and Dara…so I shopped and the girls sampled. LOL!!!
Later in the evening we were expecting Yuri, so we quickly headed home to begin the cooking, drinking and girl talk before a man joined us. It was so fun! Note to Cary: I don’t think Dara will be staying with you when there are girls and girl talk involved at my apartment. Girl Talk ROCKS!!!
And then Yuri and Alexey joined us. Alexey brought with him a green liquor that smelled and tasted of black licorice. Yuckie! But everyone else seemed to enjoy it. Yuri mainly enjoyed the preparation of such a drink. Burnt sugar over a flame..add sugar water…and sip from a shot glass.
Yuri is much like Tim, the Tool Man Taylor, and he needs to come with a warning label.
