True Russian Beer & Soda…

Today my close friend, Yuri arrived back to Lugansk from a week long trip to the Caucasus Mountains and some snowboarding.  The Caucasus Mountains spilt Russia from Georgia and Azerbaijan.  And he brought back some fun things to try, Russian beer and soda.

The beer is in the center flanked by the soda.

The best thing about the bottle with the white cap is that today in February 11th and this beer was supposedly bottled on February 13th.  Awesome!

So, the soda was different.  Carbonated, but no preservatives or artificial flavoring that makes everything tastes so good.

And the beer was very interesting.  It was lightly carbonated and tasted a bit like flat beer.  The flavor was good and much like beer today, but I missed the high level of carbonation that is in beer these days.

Thanks Yuri.  It may be expensive and a hassle for me to get to Russia, so thanks for bringing a little bit of Russia back with you to share with me.
