These pictures are all courtesy of my Peace Corps Regional Manager, Vasyl. He did a bit of a driving photo tour of Kyiv a short time ago and emailed these to some PCV’s. These are really wonderful shots of the holiday lights at night in central Kyiv.
This is Kreschadik. The main street through the city. It is always full of life and fun. There are stores like Gap, Tiffany and Marks & Spencer. The center of Kyiv reminds me of most old European cities. It is quite beautiful year round, but with the lights it is just stunning.
Here is Independence Square from many angles. I really love all the lights.
A closer view of Independence Square.
