So I headed to Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporozhye to meet up with friends today. We planned this weekend meet up weeks ago and yesterday I came down with an awful flu bug of some kind. Absolutely no fun, but I made it through the train ride in decent shape. Now its time to get through the weekend.
It was nice to get a weekend away as the summer begins to end and the leaves begin to change.
Many of us spend many an evening in beer tents in Ukraine. This line up of beer tents seemed ideal. Too bad this photo was taken at 9A this morning.
The Dnipro River
Amazing how this so does not look like a Peace Corps city. Patrick is shocked to live here. No hut in Africa for him…or the rest of us in Ukraine.
The fountain was not working, but the picture still works. It is an amazing view!!!
This looks so much likes an American city street. So very cool!! I could not resist a picture.
And then I took a two hour bus ride with Patrick to Zaporozhye. Such a beautiful city!!
And finally…the girls!!! We missed Anne, but we still had a fabulous time together. It was so great to hang out together.
