A couple of weeks ago there were a few days that were especially difficult for me. No specific reason or difficulty, just fighting some major homesickness. I sent my weekly update to friends and family throughout the world and shared my thoughts. I was stunned by the responses.
Often it is hard to understand or see the effect a person has on so many others. I am thrilled with the opportunity I have to serve as a Peace Corps Volunteer and share Ukraine with the rest of the world.
Here are a few comments from friends that gave a great boost to my mood. Thanks to all for the endless support!
“So good to get your updates and blogs and we are enjoying “seeing” Ukraine through your eyes.” ~ Carol Eaton in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada
“Just remember that you have more than doubled your “special” circle of people who care about you!!!” ~ Lynn Gelinas in Portland, Oregon, United States
“I know all of us (museum volunteers) enjoy reading you blog and e-mails. For many, it makes us wish we were still young enough to do what you are doing.” ~ James Lilley in McMinnville, Oregon, United States
