I am still looking for a permanent apartment, but right now I am renting a room in an apartment. I live in an area near the medical university about 30 minutes by marshukta from the city center and about 30 minutes by marshutka from my office in a different direction. It really is not so bad. I love the neighborhood and have been able to get out and exercise daily (when not raining). It does take me a bit to get home from the city center when I am out playing with friends, but aside from that it is great. I have the place to myself for the summer with Anna at her grandmothers.
I sleep on a pull out queen, which is actually quite comfortable and after some rearranging last Friday I have a nice big table/desk to work off of. And right next to the window. I don’t know what it is about me loving having my work station next to a window, but it just is. I am mostly unpacked, except for winter clothes. Once my boxes from home arrive in a few weeks, that will no longer be the case. I am on the hunt for hangers and a fan, but otherwise my room is really great.
The kitchen is tiny, but perfect for one. It is pretty full of everything from the owner of the flat. One reason I am looking forward to a more permanent apartment. I need a kitchen to unpack into. I am enjoying cooking and eat in for most meals. Even the McDonalds across from my office is not the least bit tempting. I enjoy the opportunity I have here to have the time to cook and enjoy cooking. I even baked a chicken a few days ago.
And here is the entry to my flat. I still have to figure out where the trash bins are located, but for the most part life is coming together.
