Golf…Blueberries…and my garage…

Some of my MBA classmates decided to have a First Annual Golf Tournament and BBQ. As this was being organized, I quickly picked up the phone and called my 3-handicap golfing friend, JR, to be my “Guest”. Sixteen of us played at Charbonneau Gold Club on Saturday. I was lucky enough to have to have three very talented golfers with me and we won. WooHoo! Afterwards we all met at Cook Park for a BBQ and some low-key activities. It was great to see people outside of class and study groups.

My mom went to Eugene on Saturday and picked up Ryan. They arrived at the house around 3P and after a little shyness, Ryan was quickly in the back yard playing. He didn’t seem to mind the 100 degree weather, but Mom and I were melting outside. So, we finally decided to take a trip to Home Depot. AC and shopping for household items while occupying a three-year old.

Sunday morning the three of us went to Sauvie Island for a couple of hours of blueberry picking. We all had a great time and I think Ryan’s new word is delicious. I also heard “Look, all those blueberries.” regularly. Ryan seemed to thoroughly enjoy himself. By Sunday afternoon, my mom and Ryan were headed to my mom’s house in Gearhart for a few days, and I was enjoying a nap.

My garage is well organized, but after the move I was looking for some boxes I hadn’t unpacked yet. So, I spent several hours last night moving things around and organizing a bit more. I unpacked five boxes of linens. Seriously, five boxes. And then I washed everything before putting it away. I found things that have been packed for the last year, as I was living in a condo that I knew I would only be in for about a year, and didn’t unpack everything from the move.

I am happy to report that my garage looks fabulous and I have lots of empty shelves.

No JR, your garage is not next on my list…LOL.
