I cannot believe it has only been less than a week since my last night of class before the summer break. I walked out of class last Thursday ready to leave George Fox University and my MBA program behind for a few weeks. Don’t get me wrong, I love it. It is a huge accomplishment for me, but a break was well earned by all over the last year.
My condo is 80% packed and ready for the move on Monday. This is a big change for me, but I am excited for the space and entertaining capacity. Ahhh, there are few things that occur and I think, life just doesn’t get any better than this…and one is warm summer evenings spent under the stars conversing with close friends. Oregon summers are fantastic and I am going to love having plenty of outdoor conversation space. Along with all the 'good' the new house offers, I still have to move…yuckie. Next week is a scheduling nightmare. Move on Monday…Comcast and interior designer on Tues…Costco, Trader Joe’s and such on Wed…lawn maintanence estimates, and 830P pickup at the airport for the “Denver Crew” (Laura, Sadie, Ryan, and Jack) with a late night drive to Coos Bay on Thurs…and then my brother’s wedding weekend begins. Oh, and I am working a four day week. Crazy! Wedding is 2P on Saturday at Dad and Beth’s. I am thrilled to see everyone…woohoo. I will post pictures next week.
Trainer, you ask. Well about 18 months ago I had a fantastic trainer at the gym. Her name is Melissa and she is wonderful at keeping me in the best physical shape of my life. So, with school and added stress this past year I have put on more weight than I would like and I am sick of having a closet with four sizes in it. Thus, back to the trainer I go. I have fought my weight my whole life and I am the type who looks at a piece of carrot cake (my fav) and gains 5lbs. It is time for a bit of accountability and gym time. I will let you know how it is going. And will do a before and after…AFTER. Then it won’t seem as horrible as it feels now…LOL.
And after all this, I am content with my busy life. I started my higher education late in life (30 years old) and am thrilled with my path. The house will be a great interim for me for two years until the MBA is done and I take my next path with American Express (out of state or expat). And I have exactly 17 months until graduation and to get to the high school weight. Although, this goal includes being in a better athletic condition then I was in high school…yickes.
